From the very beginning, Otto Wulf GmbH & Co. KG has been involved in the construction of Germany's first LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven. The newly established company "Arge Herstellung Infrastruktur LNG Anleger 1," a joint venture between Depenbrock and Kurt Fredrich Spezialbau, chartered our tugboat WULF 4 for the construction site starting in mid-May 2022. The tug’s duties include towing and shifting working barges, as well as crew transfers between various pontoons, jack-up platforms, and the shore.
In early June 2022, a second tugboat was dispatched to the construction site. Due to numerous other commitments, we were unable to send a second tug from our own fleet to Wilhelmshaven. As a result, we chartered an external tugboat. At Otto Wulf, the customer is always king!
