Farewell and Goodbye: At the end of April 2022, it was time to bid farewell to the beloved TAUCHER O. WULF 3. After TAUCHER O. WULF 8 already left the fleet earlier that month, TAUCHER O. WULF 3 also departed from her home port in Cuxhaven. Her final journey, with the black "W" on her funnels and the coat of arms of the city near the bridge, took her to Haugesund, Norway. There, the proud tugboat was handed over by the Otto Wulf crew, under the command of Captain Frank Martens, to her new owner, Arve Jøssang of Midgard Marine AS.
TAUCHER O. WULF 3 was purchased from Hapag-Lloyd in Bremerhaven in 1993, where she was previously known as "Castor." The Voith-Schneider tug served Otto Wulf GmbH & Co. KG faithfully for 29 years. Operating as a harbor tug as well as for towing services, she sailed in all Northern European waters. Her reputation grew both in Germany and beyond, particularly due to her involvement in diving operations at the wreck of the RoPax ferry "Estonia" in the Baltic Sea. She was also a favorite with the public along the German coasts.
Farewell to TAUCHER O. WULF 3
