As in the past, Otto Wulf GmbH & Co. KG continues to be a reliable partner for top-tier clients. The front half of the corvette "Karlsruhe," manufactured by German Naval Yards Kiel (GNYK), was lifted into the water by a gantry crane at the shipyard before being towed to Blohm + Voss in Hamburg. In Hamburg, the 45-meter-long, 430-ton front section was awaited to be joined with the aft section at the Blohm + Voss shipyard, which belongs to the Lürssen Group.
The front half of the K130-class corvette was towed from Kiel to Hamburg through the Kiel Canal and along the Elbe in August 2021 by our Voith-Schneider tugboats WULF 5 and TAUCHER O. WULF 3.
The aft section, built by the Peene shipyard in Wolgast, also part of the Lürssen Group, was brought to Hamburg with the help of tugboats as well.
